I was born in 1968 and grew up in an entrepreneurial family in Voorthuizen. After studying at HEAO Arnhem and completing my national service with the Royal Marechaussee, I learned the trade of warehousing, (contract) logistics and transport on the job at Lekkerland and Kees Becker Logistiek.
Personally, I prefer to have several things on the go at once — variety creates the kind of dynamism that inspires me. Energy is never in short supply: alongside a driven work ethic, in my free time you'll find me cycling, running or enjoying time with others. Family and a healthy work-life balance matter a great deal to me.
By now I'm a highly experienced supply chain professional with 25+ years in the field: from inventory management, greenfield and brownfield projects and WMS applications to tender processes, I know the ropes. I've been self-employed since 2000, and after eight years of working with UC Group on various projects, I've been the manager of the UC Engineering team since 1 November. My strength lies in combining Thinking (strategy and analysis) and Doing (implementation and achieving shared goals — preferably as a team).
