What data we process and why
Visiting our website
We process your IP address, the device and browser you use, the pages you view, the page you came from and the cookie IDs linked to your visit. We do this to keep the website working and secure (legitimate interest) and to measure how the site is used and how our ads perform (your consent, which you give through the cookie banner).
Getting in touch and quotes
If you fill in a contact form or reach out by email or phone, we process your name, company name, job title, email address, phone number and the content of your message. We use that data to answer your question and to put together a proposal or quote (performance of a contract or steps leading up to it).
Working with clients
For contacts at clients we process contact and job details, correspondence, agreements made, and information about the assignment and the invoicing. Legal basis: performance of the contract, our statutory record-keeping obligation and our legitimate interest in maintaining the relationship.
Professionals, candidates and applicants
If you respond to a vacancy or register as a professional, we process your name and contact details, your CV, your education and work experience, your availability, your rate or salary indication, your LinkedIn profile, interview notes and any references you provide yourself. We do this so we can place you and talk things through with you (performance of the contract or steps leading up to it, and your consent if we keep your data for longer).
If we do go on to work together, we also process the data we are legally required to record, such as your identity document and citizen service number for the payroll administration (legal obligation). We never ask for more data than we need, and we do not carry out screening or background checks without your knowledge.
Newsletter, e-books and other content
If you request an e-book or sign up for our newsletter, we process your name, email address, company name and job title, along with whether you open our emails and what you click on. That is how we keep our content relevant. Legal basis: your consent. If you are already a client, we may email you about similar services on the basis of our legitimate interest. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of every email.
Events and workshops
If you register for an event, webinar or workshop, we process your name, email address, company name, job title and the choices you make in the programme. If you let us know about a dietary requirement or another adjustment, we process that information too. Legal basis: performance of the contract and your consent. If photos or recordings are made, we tell you in advance.
Cookies and similar techniques
On your first visit we ask through the cookie banner which cookies you allow. We only place cookies for analytics, marketing and personalisation after you have given permission. Necessary cookies are always on, because the website does not work without them.
- Necessary: keep the website working, remember your cookie choice and protect against misuse.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, to measure how the site is used, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move, click and scroll across a page.
- Marketing: the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Google Ads, to measure our advertising and make it more relevant.
- Personalisation: remembering preferences such as language or region, and recognising your visit in ActiveCampaign if we already know you.
Your choice applies until you withdraw it. You can change it at any time through the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Some parts of the site may then stop working properly.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We only share it with parties that help us deliver our services, and only as far as that is necessary. We have data processing agreements with those parties. They are:
- Webflow: hosting of this website
- Google: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads
- LinkedIn: advertising and the Insight Tag
- ActiveCampaign: forms, email marketing, our contact database and website tracking that links your visit to your profile if we already know you
- Pipedrive: our CRM with client and assignment information
- Microsoft: email, calendar, documents and collaboration through Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Clarity for the usage research on this website
- Eventbrite: registrations for our events
- our accountant, payroll administrator and legal advisers
If we put you forward as a professional to a client, we share your data with that client. We always do that in consultation with you. Where the law requires it, we share data with government bodies.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some of our suppliers are based in the United States or store data there. Those transfers take place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or under standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, supplemented with arrangements on security.
How long we keep data
We do not keep data longer than we need it for the purpose we received it for. Statutory retention periods apply to part of our administration, such as the seven-year tax retention obligation and the periods that come with the payroll administration. Where no statutory period applies, we look at the purpose: as soon as it no longer applies, we delete the data or make it anonymous.

How we protect your data
This website runs over a secure connection (https). Access to our systems is limited to staff who need the data for their work and runs through personal accounts. We make agreements with suppliers about security and confidentiality. Do you suspect something is wrong with your data? Email info@ucgroup.nl straight away.
Automated decision-making
We do not take decisions about you based solely on automated processing. Whether we put you forward for an assignment is always assessed by a person.
Your rights

- withdrawal of your consent, without affecting what happened before that
Send your request to info@ucgroup.nl. We respond within a month. To be sure the request comes from you, we may ask you to identify yourself.
Filing a complaint
If we cannot resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, through autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
Changes to this statement
We update this statement when our services or the law require it. The date at the top of the page shows when we last did so. This version replaces version 1.3 of 5 July 2018.
