Traineeship Logistics & Supply Chain

Introduction

As a trainee, you'll develop into a strong professional within the ecosystem (we call it a Professional Service Community) of UC Group.

UC Young Professionals is an independent entity within UC Group, focused on attracting, developing and supporting young professionals. The atmosphere is professional and pleasantly ambitious at the same time: we work hard, with room for development, reflection and collaboration.

Our head office is in Rotterdam, but the Young Professionals have their office and home base in Nieuwkuijk. You'll be there regularly, but most of the time you'll be providing support on-site at our clients.

What will you do?

As a trainee, you'll work on concrete challenges in logistics and supply chain at UC Group's clients.

You'll be deployed on projects such as:

• preparations for implementing new logistics software (WMS)

• creating master flow diagrams (incl. logistics data)

• developing dashboards and data-driven insights

• implementing Lean methodologies within organisations

• optimising logistics processes (warehousing, inventory management, etc.)

From day one, you'll make a real contribution and work towards visible results.

How our traineeship works:

• Duration: 2 years

• 3 assignments of 6–10 months at different organisations

• Structured guidance from experienced professionals

• A dedicated mentor throughout the programme

• A training and peer-review day every 4 weeks

During the traineeship, we also invest in your education and development, such as:

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification

• Training in process analysis and continuous improvement

• Data analysis and dashboarding using Power BI

• Stakeholder management and consultancy skills

• Peer review and reflection

Who are we looking for?

• You're pleasantly ambitious

• Recently graduated (university of applied sciences/university)

• An affinity with supply chain, logistics or production

• Analytical and structured

• Proactive and responsible

• Willing to work in different environments
