I gained my experience at both logistics service providers and shippers, in commercial and operational roles, developing into a senior supply chain and operations professional. Over the years I've formed a clear picture of how supply chain and operations can add value to a company at a strategic level, and how to make that happen. I've worked for many years in multicultural organisations and am good at connecting strategy, delivery and day-to-day operations. With an open, informal style, I get people moving and take them along in change.
Early in my career I encountered the dynamics of an international field and multicultural collaboration at a local freight forwarder at Schiphol. I then broadened and deepened my logistics expertise by moving into Contract Logistics. After that I joined Samsung Electronics, where my challenge was to facilitate logistics growth for various product groups across various markets.
All in all, I've carried out various roles and projects in the European supply chain, such as: sourcing logistics services, European network studies and their implementation, greenfield warehouse implementations and implementing eCommerce solutions.
