With his combination of logistical expertise, IT experience and project and change management, he achieves sustainable improvements that help organizations grow in a scalable and predictable way.
In his work, Giel has gained extensive experience with various improvement and change processes within warehousing and logistics. He has supervised multiple WMS implementations, from selection to go-live, and supported organizations with warehouse design and redesign, in line with growth ambitions and changing order profiles.
In addition, he works on supply chain optimization, identifying bottlenecks in lead times, inventory management and capacity and translating them into concrete improvement actions within the warehouse and the operation.
An important part of his approach is redesigning warehouse processes. Giel analyses how processes work in practice, simplifies where possible and ensures standardization and clear working methods. In addition, he applies Lean Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, prevent errors and increase efficiency and predictability in the workplace.
