An engaged, analytically strong consultant with a clear focus on transport, logistics and supply chains. I get my energy from improving processes and collaboration across the chain — especially where complexity and competing interests come together.
By listening well and asking the right follow-up questions, I quickly get to the heart of a problem. A thorough understanding of the context comes first, before solutions are developed — with the emphasis not only on what's theoretically possible, but on what's practically achievable within organisations.
A background in business economics forms the foundation, complemented by hands-on experience at the intersection of logistics, transport and procurement. I've gained experience within a listed wholesaler, SME transport and third-party logistics (3PL). This combination makes it possible to get to grips with both strategic and operational questions.
My work focuses on, among other things, CO₂ reduction in transport, supply chain optimisation (such as construction hubs for inner-city projects) and new forms of collaboration via digital platforms. Since 2020 I've been a logistics adviser for Voedselbanken Nederland (the Dutch food banks), improving logistics processes within a national network of volunteers (14,000), locations (145) and vehicles.
Within UC Group I contribute to innovation initiatives around sustainability and resilience in supply chains. I'm drawn to challenges where efficiency, collaboration and social impact come together.
In my private life I'm active on and around the water, with a strong interest in rowing. I draw energy from activities that challenge me both physically and mentally.
Broad experience in analysis, advice and implementation within logistics and transport challenges. Strong at working on complex projects with multiple stakeholders, bringing structure and clarity.
A selection of my experience:
• Research, advice and implementation of construction-logistics efficiency concepts, particularly on inner-city projects
• Carrying out CO₂ emission analyses within construction transport and translating them into concrete reduction measures
• Analysis and implementation of material flows between manufacturers and a wholesaler with around 50 branches, including optimisation of part-load shipments and conversion of delivery terms (free delivery → ex works)
• Setting up and managing procurement processes with logistics service providers, including SLAs and KPI structures
• Implementing improvements in collaboration, processes and performance across supply chains
The combination of subject-matter knowledge and practical experience makes for a strong contribution to both strategic questions and their delivery.
