Ward has a real passion for logistics and great appreciation for the people who make this possible. Together with his relations and customers, Ward tries to thoroughly understand the current challenges. With the aim of forming an appropriate advice or plan within the context. With a holistic view, he looks at the impact of the change from various angles. With an eye for detail, often the key to success, he advises, supervises and implements the change. With a healthy dose of energy, he likes to share his experiences and provide guidance to the teams around him to achieve the best results. Ward has worked on both the shipper and the 3PL & 4PL side in an international field. Stakeholder engagement and anticipation are therefore an integral part of his approach.
Ward has held various roles in logistics and has experienced the combination of various disciplines first-hand. As department manager for Business Development, Ward has been able to advise several international customers in their logistical set-up. Examples include advice on Warehouse centralizations and transitions as well as Control Tower setups for (small) e-commerce customers as (large) B2B corporations. In addition, he has experience in selecting partners, such as carriers and suppliers, to complete the overall logistics concept. As Program Director, with a team of Process, System, Finance, Facilities, and HR specialists, Ward was responsible for the successful implementation of new operations and major redesigns. With a background in LEAN and Operations Excellence, Ward also pays plenty of attention to stabilization and further optimization of the business after the initial set-up. Because Ward himself has been in the 'field' as Logistics manager for a major electronics manufacturer, he knows the interests of the shipper. Attention to end-customer satisfaction and achieving challenging sales targets guide the logistical and supply chain setups that he advises and sets up.
