From the start of my career, I have been genuinely interested in people, relationships and customers. In what motivates them, what challenges they have and how I can support them. I am driven by looking for opportunities to strengthen their companies in cooperation with customers. More successful and sustainable but practical and measurable. Thanks to my experience and good listening, I quickly get to the point in order to solve challenges with a professional, practical approach. From my supply chain education and background, I have experienced that sustainability can make an important contribution to future-proof logistics chains, with attention to people, the environment and returns. With a lot of energy, I help companies improve cooperation in chains, reduce costs and emissions to achieve an efficient sustainable transport chain. My experience as co-developer of the CO2 reporting tool Loginex.ai contributes to this in achieving accurate sustainability reports, data analyses and efficiency measures. In my spare time, I enjoy my family, but also photography, motorcycling and traveling. In addition, I am active as a committed person at Breda University of Applied Sciences and part-time lecturer in sustainability and logistics.
Since 2019, I joined UC Group as an independent supply chain and sustainability advisor, during which period I have realized projects for companies and government. Among other things, the development and implementation of logistical efficiency in transport, sustainability strategy, ESG baseline measurement, CSRD reports, CO2 reduction among shippers, logistics service providers and transport companies (including Ahold Delhaize, Jan de Rijk transport, Interfood, AIT worldwide Logistics). As an interim project manager for sustainable supply chains for Top Sector Logistics, I assist suppliers from Albert Heijn, Intratuin and Welkoop in calculating and implementing product carbon footprinting (PEF) in their organizations. Before that, I worked for 13 years at APL Logistics (global logistics service provider, 7000 FTE) as director of the EMEA business unit and managing director of the Benelux. In these roles, I managed the operations but was also budget responsible for the EMEA commercial strategy and supply chain improvement processes for clients operating worldwide. From the European management positions, I have been involved in implementing international supply chain solutions for various customers in Retail, FMCG, DIY and Industry. This has contributed to my expertise in the field of 3PL and 4PL solutions. In addition, I have supervised sustainability projects for Heineken, among others, with research into synchromodal sustainable solutions for transporting beer bottles. In the period before, I worked at various logistics service providers (including Rhenus Logistics) in both operational management and commercial positions, in warehouse, transport and forwarding operations.
