From the very start of my career, I've been genuinely interested in people, relationships and clients — in what drives them, the challenges they face and how I can support them. I'm driven by the search for opportunities to make clients' businesses stronger in partnership with them: more successful and more sustainable, but always in a practical, measurable way. Thanks to my experience and by listening well, I quickly get to the core, then solve challenges with a professional, practical approach.
From my supply chain education and background, I've learned that sustainability can make an important contribution to future-proof logistics chains, with attention to people, the environment and returns. With great energy, I help companies improve collaboration across chains and reduce costs and emissions. My experience as co-developer of the CO₂ reporting tool Loginex.ai contributes to this, enabling accurate sustainability reporting, data analysis and efficiency measures.
In my free time I enjoy my family, photography, motorcycling and travel. I'm also active as an external examiner at Breda University of Applied Sciences and a part-time lecturer in sustainability and logistics.
Since 2019 I've worked as an independent supply chain and sustainability adviser at UC Group. During that time I've delivered projects for businesses and government, including developing and implementing transport efficiency, sustainability strategy, ESG baseline measurements, CSRD reporting and CO₂ reduction for shippers, logistics service providers and transport companies (including Ahold Delhaize, Jan de Rijk Transport, Interfood and AIT Worldwide Logistics). As interim project manager for sustainable supply chains at Topsector Logistiek, I guide suppliers of Albert Heijn, Intratuin and Welkoop in calculating and implementing product carbon footprinting (PEF).
Before that, I spent 13 years at APL Logistics (a global logistics service provider, 7,000 FTE) as director of the EMEA business unit and managing director of the Benelux. In these roles I led operations and held budget responsibility for the EMEA commercial strategy and supply chain improvement programmes for global clients. I was involved in implementing international supply chain solutions for various clients in retail, FMCG, DIY and industry, which contributed to my expertise in 3PL and 4PL solutions.
