I'm an experienced, driven transport professional with more than 30 years of expertise in logistics and transport management. I specialise in optimising transport processes, leading teams and successfully managing complex projects.
My knowledge lies mainly in bulk transport of liquid products, ADR and GMP products, and I'm also familiar with SEVESO regulations. I have extensive experience in implementing logistics automation systems and delivering customer-focused logistics solutions. I always strive for process optimisation and maximum efficiency.
Alongside my professional career, I'm passionate about photography, skiing and golf. I love combining these hobbies with travel, enjoying new destinations and challenges in both my work and personal life.
I began my career in 1991 as a driver and logistics employee at Full Speed Transport, where I was responsible for transport throughout Europe. As well as carrying out transport, I managed the drivers' time records and handled invoicing.
After my time at Full Speed Transport, I worked at TIR 2000 Transport, where I gained experience transporting fresh meat to Italy and Spain. Here I learned to handle the logistics challenges of temperature-sensitive products.
Not long after, I held a role as a logistics employee at Jan Verhaegh Transport B.V. In this role I organised groupage and special transport across Europe, including large and heavy haulage. I was responsible for planning, customer communication and analysing transport data to improve processes.
In 2003 I became transport manager and co-owner of Vendrig Transport B.V. For more than 20 years I led this company, responsible for the daily logistics and transport processes. I led a team of 20 drivers and 8 logistics staff, negotiated contracts with multinationals and suppliers, and ensured compliance with transport and safety regulations. I implemented key automation systems such as Data2Track, Transpas Enterprise and Exact Online and played a key role in linking these systems to business processes.
