I am a curious and involved person with a great urge to make things better and better. I listen carefully, ask the right questions and quickly get to the heart of what an organization needs to take steps towards greater sustainability, effectiveness and efficiency. I think it's important to share knowledge and I like to think about new ideas, initiatives and solutions that really work. During my studies, I developed a strong interest in organizational change and innovation. Gradually, this grew my passion for sustainability and the energy transition — topics that I have been committed to with all my heart and soul ever since. What characterizes me in my work is my clear way of thinking, my reliability in agreements, and my ability to operate independently and in a team. I learn quickly and know how to adapt flexibly to what the situation requires. Privately, I enjoy time with my wife and children. In addition, I find relaxation in making music, exercising, reading, sailing, walking in nature and cycling.
I have more than 25 years of experience in business control, consultancy and organizational development. I started my career as a process consultant at Andersen Consulting, where I was responsible for implementing ERP systems (SAP), with a focus on logistical and financial functionality. I then worked as a business controller at Siemens, where I dealt with contracting and the operational and financial processing of various projects for customers in the retail and banking sectors.
As CFO and Head of Operations at Siemens' leasing company, I led the administration, collection and asset management teams and managed successful sales to a banking leasing company.
I found more meaning at Follow This, a small but influential nonprofit focused on the oil and gas sector. That's where I developed the organization, built the team, improved internal processes and spoke with key shareholders.
I believe in a healthy balance between sustainability and profitability: 'profit with purpose'. My study of Business Economics at Erasmus University and my experience ensure that I quickly gain insights, recognize opportunities and structure without losing the overview.
