I was born on a houseboat in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, so it's no surprise that I began my career in shipping. I gained my logistics experience over several years at Nike in Belgium and the Netherlands, and broadened and deepened my supply chain knowledge working for companies such as Thermo Fisher and bol.com. After that, I spent five years as head of logistics at Suitsupply, where I supported the brand's globalisation, particularly in the US and China.
Thanks to my in-depth knowledge of operational processes, I quickly identify the primary issues and have the drive needed for improvement and optimisation. I have a lot of experience with fast-growing companies and consistently avoid logistics bottlenecks. I'm a Far East specialist and have regularly visited factories in countries such as China, Myanmar and Vietnam since the 1990s, with the aim of optimising overseas shipments by air, sea and rail.
