It's all about making the most of my talents in life. I'm creative, I challenge myself and I overcome my disappointments. These values have guided me in becoming the person I am today, both in my private life and in my professional environment.
My mission is clear: entrepreneurship and sustainability are inextricably linked. That's why I support the inevitable shift from the traditional, old-fashioned way of doing business to a new, ethical and sustainable practice that is fully future-proof.
I'm a driven and enthusiastic person. I love spending my free time with my wife, (grand)children and dog on the island of Goeree, where the three R's still reign: Rust, Ruimte and Relax (peace, space and relaxation). You'll regularly find me on the golf course to bring mind and body back into balance — the same feeling I get walking through the island's beautiful nature or skiing down the mountains. I'm also very interested in languages: I speak English, German and French, and teach Dutch as a language volunteer to people learning Dutch as a second language. I love making time to show off my culinary skills, preferably with dishes from Spanish and Italian cuisine. And, of course, I live as sustainably as possible: solar panels on the roof, a heat pump, an electric car and a vegetarian diet.
International business is in my DNA, with a passion for sustainability. I'm the connector who, in this time of transition, can build bridges between ideas, projects and people. From a sustainability perspective, I always make corporate social responsibility the guiding principle. Through my enthusiasm and drive, I offer solutions that take the burden of Corporate Social Responsibility off entrepreneurs' shoulders — practical and measurable, such as applying internationally recognised CSR standards like VSME, CSRD, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), ISO 14083 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Through my expertise in consultancy and project management, I offer my knowledge and experience to advise companies so they can meet the various sustainability rules and regulations. In this process, my focus is on delivering various CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) reports through:
As a creative and orderly person, I'm able to act flexibly while keeping an overview — all to deliver the best result under the motto 'maximum input = maximum output'. I have extensive experience working with various stakeholders, including within the CKT (the Dutch covenant for sustainable clothing and textiles). As someone with first-hand experience of the CSR process, I can readily put myself in the shoes of the entrepreneur or manager who sees the complex, sustainable transition as an insurmountable barrier.

A lot has changed in the past year in the sustainability country. An adapted CSRD regulation through a relaxation of the ESRSs - the standards that underlie the CSRD and amended criteria that mean that many Wave-2 companies (medium-sized companies that would previously fall under the CSRD) are now exempt from mandatory sustainability reporting.
