Biography

I graduated as a mechanical engineer from TU Delft. I began my career as a project manager at the Dutch Railways (NS), then took operational responsibility for a small construction company, before moving into the world of consultancy and advisory work — where I've now been active as a supply chain management expert for 20 years.

Alongside my project and consultancy work, I'm a driven and enthusiastic lecturer on APICS Supply Chain Management courses. I draw a great deal of inspiration and satisfaction from passing on and sharing logistics knowledge with fellow professionals.

Work experience

I've gained experience across a range of sectors: with logistics service providers, wholesale, FMCG, healthcare and manufacturing. For me, the most enjoyable challenges lie in optimising forecasting, inventory management, warehouses, logistics processes and supply chains.

My open approach allows me to communicate in the right way and earn the trust needed to drive change at every level — from the shop floor to the boardroom. With my energy and enthusiasm, I'm able to connect individuals, teams, organisations and supply chains and take them along on the journey of optimisation, cost reduction, higher-quality service and continuous improvement.

An overview of my relevant experience:

  • Project manager on warehouse management implementations
  • APICS lecturer, forecasting and Lean
  • Inventory optimisation combined with forecasting
  • ERP cloud system implementations at SMEs
  • Process optimisation
  • WMS system implementations

Expertise

My expertise lies in supply chain management, process optimisation and operational leadership. I love putting my knowledge to work to take organisations to the next level.
