Biography

Pascal is energetic and creative, combining entrepreneurship with strategic insight and knowledge of the supply chain and related interim market. He uses these qualities to support UC Group professionals and clients alike.

Entrepreneur in the supply chain market

As an executive he often sought to turn rules to the advantage of his clients and employer, while as an entrepreneur they inspired him to create innovative business models. At an early stage in his career he was responsible for transforming part of Ericsson’s European supply chain, setting up a 55,000 m2 EDC for Epson Europe in Tilburg to complete a centralisation strategy, and leading the integration of the commercial management team of Exel and DHL after their merger.

Choosing to become an entrepreneur he then founded and built UC Group, a consultancy and interim firm in supply chain and production and operating as a unique ecosystem of closely related businesses. Within 10 years he and his partner managed to expand this network 20-fold. While doing so he developed a BPO business model for the freight forwarder Meerendonk, an experience he later converted into the start of the logistics chain director BEND. Through UC Group he initiates new product and market solutions and provides guidance to the affiliated entrepreneurs in developing their own solutions.

In the past few years Pascal has also been using this experience to support Stichting Hierdoor tot Hoger, a foundation that seeks to help young creative talents find their way to and fund higher art education qualifications. In an economy increasingly characterised by automation and artificial intelligence, creativity is one of the few competencies that distinguishes us as humans. And that applies equally to entrepreneurs.

His background means he can regard himself as an investor in the supply chain industry: a committed business developer and strategist who helps companies to grow, to improve their margins and to retain customers and who always bases his actions on the belief that lasting success depends on taking all stakeholder interests into account.
