Lars gained his experience at logistics service providers and shippers in commercial and operational roles, becoming a senior supply chain and operations professional. Over the years he has built up a clear picture of how the supply chain and operations can add value to a business strategically and how to achieve this in practice. He has worked for many years in multicultural organisations and is skilled at linking strategy, implementation and day-to-day operations. With his open, informal style he is good at getting people to want to join him on a journey towards change.
Early on in his career, he experienced the dynamism of an international, multicultural environment, working for a local freight forwarder at Schiphol airport. Switching to contract logistics meant expanding his logistics expertise in both breadth and depth. Later he moved ‘across the table’ to work for Samsung Electronics, where the challenge was to facilitate logistics growth for product groups in various markets.
He has worked in various roles and taken on many different projects in the European supply chain, including sourcing logistics services, European network studies and their implementation, greenfield warehouse implementations and implementing e-commerce solutions.
