Gerrie was born and grew up in Harskamp in the Veluwe region. She and her husband, Albert, have two children and one grandchild.
She has wide-ranging professional experience, having worked in hospitality, for a large trading and production company and also for a company specialising in rope access techniques. In recent years she has used her knowledge and expertise to help a company managing private and commercial real estate.
Her extensive professional experience has taught her to think in terms of solutions.
Her motto for life is ‘A euro saved is a euro earned.’
