Wilbert (a founder of UC Group) is an energetic builder of businesses who combines his entrepreneurial skills with his experience as a logistics engineer. He translates this experience into support for clients facing complex mechanisation and robotisation issues. In his current role he manages the Engineering team and helps clients to find the best solutions and logistics engineers to develop and evolve into independent consultants.
After gaining the experience listed below, he chose to become an entrepreneur and to build UC Group, a uniquely specialised network of closely linked businesses helping clients to resolve Supply Chain and Production issues. Within 10 years he and his partner managed to expand this network 20-fold. He has also assisted clients dealing with complex mechanisation and robotisation issues, was one of the parties setting up the BEND Supply Chain Director and in 2015 took over the E-fulfilment Academy.
This experience has proved very useful in his role as Director of Innovation and Operations, where he is responsible for ensuring a stable operating basis for the network businesses and can use his specialised Supply Chain knowledge to initiate innovation within the UC Group network. His track record means he can identify opportunities for new businesses to improve UC Group’s services for its clients and to reinforce the benefits of the network for all its stakeholders.
Before becoming an entrepreneur Wilbert worked for Incontrol, TDG and DHL Supply Chain. His focus has always been on finding digitalisation, mechanisation and robotics solutions for optimising his employers’ and clients’ business processes, with the aim of adding value by aligning business processes and strategies more effectively.
