Having previously coached youth soccer teams, he learned the importance of setting goals together, empowering people, and achieving results as a team. This experience carries through to his current role, where he connects and motivates teams to actually implement improvements.

Experience

Ad is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt with broad experience in production, supply chain, and maintenance management. His strength lies in analyzing and optimizing processes, with a proven track record in reducing lead times, improving delivery reliability, and increasing productivity.

He has held diverse roles at leading organizations:

  • GVB Rail Materieel – Implemented process improvements in metro maintenance, reducing lead times and significantly increasing mechanic deployment efficiency.

  • Koni – Redesigned production lines, reducing lead times from three weeks to one day, later further shortened to less than one hour.

  • Tata Steel – Provided coaching and guidance within Management of Change programs, focused on implementing structural improvements.

  • Orga – Reduced lead times to one day, eliminating the need for closing stock and making the supply chain more flexible. Additionally, Ad brought structure and insight to the supply chain, enabling the organization to better manage the consequences of rapid growth and fluctuating demand.
